Nutridense Food Manufacturing Corp. sources its raw materials locally to minimize  transportation expenses, lower overall supply chain costs, and ensure that  ingredients are fresh rather than long-stored stock. This practice also stimulates  regional agricultural economies by purchasing directly from farmers, providing them  with stable market opportunities and fair compensation.

By supporting local businesses, the company strengthens supplier relationships,  fosters loyalty, and contributes to the long-term sustainability of its supply chain. This  initiative not only benefits the company’s operations but also promotes community  growth, environmental responsibility, and shared economic prosperity.

  1. Community development projects and co-manufacturing spaces Partnering is one of the key elements to CSR strategies. Sharing the same mission  and objectives, Nutridense Food Manufacturing Corp. collaborates with organizations  and individuals to create a meaningful impact on society.

Nutridense Food Manufacturing Corp. partners with various institutions, such as the  Department of Science and Technology – Food and Nutrition Research Institute  (DOST-FNRI), in implementing the Malnutrition Reduction Program (MRP) in LGU  Tanudan, Kalinga and LGU Basista, Pangasinan, using products manufactured by  Nutridense Food Manufacturing Corp.

The company is also part of the DOST-CEST (Community Empowerment thru Science  and Technology) Program, which aims to provide livelihood and alleviate poverty in  remote communities by serving Nutridense’s products distributed to beneficiaries.

Nutridense Food Manufacturing Corp. also partner with Department of Agriculture  (DA) and Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in market linkage with farmer groups  in the region.

Nutridense Food Manufacturing Corp. established shared service facility or small batch manufacturing spaces which provides entrepreneurs and small businesses  who wants to grow in their business with access to high-quality facilities. This  initiative is to support local food manufacturers build as Pangasinan Entrepreneur  Development Association Inc or also known as PEDAI helping them to upscale their  businesses while complying food safety protocols. Nutridense Food Manufacturing  Corp. provides technical assistance and guidance in running their business.

Community Outreach Programs  

Nutridense Food Manufacturing Corp. collaborates with local schools, community  centers, and churches—particularly in underserved areas—to implement feeding  programs. These initiatives provide nutritious hot meals or ready-to-eat biscuits produced by Nutridense, helping to address hunger and improve the nutritional status  of beneficiaries. Beyond meeting immediate needs, the program fosters community  trust, strengthens relationships with local stakeholders, and promotes awareness of  locally manufactured products. By engaging with grassroots organizations, the  company not only supports public health and child development but also contributes  to sustainable community partnerships that reinforce its commitment to corporate  social responsibility.

Health and Nutrition Initiatives 

Since 2021, Nutridense Food Manufacturing Corp. has been implementing a feeding  program in cooperation with local government units (LGUs), schools, churches, and  various government agencies, reintroducing its signature product, the “Nutribun.”  This initiative aims to combat hunger and malnutrition, particularly among children in  underserved communities, by providing a nutritious and affordable food option.

During the pandemic, the program was further strengthened through the distribution  of multivitamins from the LGU to recipients, helping address micronutrient  deficiencies and boosting immunity in vulnerable populations. Through these  partnerships, the program not only addresses immediate nutritional needs but also  promotes the importance of proper diet and supplementation in supporting growth,  learning, and overall well-being. The revival of Nutribun reinforces the company’s  commitment to public health, community development, and its legacy of  contributing to national nutrition efforts.

Nutridense Food Manufacturing Corp. is committed to protecting and promoting the  rights of its employees while encouraging them to maintain optimal health. As part of  its annual health and wellness program, the company provides vaccinations such as

Influenza, Pneumonia, and COVID-19 in partnership with the Department of Health  (DOH) – LGU Santa Barbara, Pangasinan, and other private institutions.

detection and prevention of illness. Through these initiatives, Nutridense not only  safeguards the well-being of its workforce but also reinforces its commitment to  creating a safe, healthy, and supportive workplace environment.

Nutridense Food Manufacturing Corp. conducts an annual blood donation activity as  part of its commitment to help save the lives of patients with illnesses and medical  conditions. This CSR initiative reflects the company’s core principles of valuing  people, showing high regard for their contributions to the organization, and extending  help to those in need through the supply of safe blood. The program also aims to raise  awareness on the importance of blood donation, not only in saving lives but also in  promoting health and preventing certain diseases.

Employee Nutrition and Welfare Program 

Nutridense Food Manufacturing Corp. recognizes that employee well-being is  essential to sustaining productivity, ensuring food safety, and fostering a positive work  environment. As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment, we  have established an in-house canteen facility that provides nutritious, safe, and  aNordable meals to all employees.

The mini-canteen operates in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)food safety regulations, and hygiene protocols to guarantee that all food served is  safe for consumption. This initiative oNers:

  • Providing daily meal options affordable and balanced meal rich in essential  nutrients to promote health and wellness.
  • Allowing employees to enjoy their meals within the premises, providing  convenience, minimizing travel time and maximizing rest during breaks.
  • Catering to employees working in early, late, or rotating shifts to support their  availability and ensure they have access to proper meals regardless of work  hours.
  • Maintaining strict, hygienic, cleanliness and sanitation in a controlled  environment in line with regulatory standards to protect employee health. • Featuring monthly menus curated with the assistance of nutritionists to help  employees make healthier food choices and provides nutritional awareness

Bloodletting Program 

The Bloodletting Program, conducted annually by Nutridense Food Manufacturing  Corp. in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross – Pangasinan Chapter, serves as a  community service and public health initiative. Each year, the program successfully  registers at least 30 volunteers from the company, along with additional walk-in  participants.

  1. Workplace and Labor Practices

Nutridense Food Manufacturing Corp. demonstrates its commitment to CSR by  treating employees fairly and ethically, including the upholding of their human rights.  The company has complied with Philippine laws and regulations since its registration.  Policies, rules, regulations, and standard operating procedures are established and  reviewed annually. An Employee Handbook is made accessible to all employees, and  each is oriented on its contents and required to sign it on their first day of work.

In line with responsible business practices, the company implements the following  initiatives:

  • Regular safety training, provision of PPE, workplace hazard assessments, and  compliance with DOLE- Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Programs standards.
  • Fair Compensation and Benefits – Compliance with minimum wage laws,  provision of statutory benefits (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG), and additional  allowances where applicable.

Continuous training on food safety (GMP, HACCP), equipment operation, and  personal development programs implemented under Skills Development and  Training.

  • Policies non-discrimination and equal opportunity on ensuring fairness  regardless of gender, age, religion, or background providing a safe space area  • Implementation of Employee Wellness Programs such as regular health check ups, on-site vaccination drives, mental health awareness sessions, fitness and  exercise activities, nutrition and healthy eating seminars, stress management  workshops, team-building and sports festival activities, and recreational events  — all designed to promote overall well-being, prevent workplace fatigue, and  support work–life balance.
  • Provision of Clear and confidential channels are in place for employees to raise  concerns, complaints, or suggestions without fear of retaliation. The process  includes multiple reporting options (e.g., direct supervisor, HR department,  anonymous drop box, or digital reporting system), prompt acknowledgment of  issues, and fair, impartial investigation procedures. Feedback is documented  and addressed within a set timeline, with resolutions communicated to the  concerned parties. Regular employee surveys, suggestion programs, and open door policies encourage continuous dialogue between management and staff,  fostering trust, transparency, and mutual respect in the workplace.
  • Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Response Training – Drills and readiness  programs to ensure employee safety during emergencies in connection with the  Business Continuity Plan

Nutridense Food Manufacturing Corp. has integrated green practices and  sustainability initiatives into its workplace operations and premises management.  These eNorts include implementing waste reduction and recycling programs,  promoting energy and water conservation, minimizing the use of single-use plastics,  and ensuring proper waste segregation in compliance with environmental  regulations. The company also fosters environmental awareness among employees  through training, campaigns, and participation in eco-friendly activities.

By embedding these practices into its daily operations, Nutridense not only reduces  its environmental footprint but also contributes to a cleaner, healthier, and more  sustainable community such as:

  1. Renewable energy or solar power system have been installed to reduce  electrical cost and achieve long-term cost savings from sustainable practices.  This initiative is to provide operational resilience through better infrastructure.
  2. Food waste accumulated within the week from food production is either  purchased by a private individual or given to the community to be used as  animal feed. This initiative promotes sustainable livelihoods and environmental  responsibility by helping reduce waste while supporting farmers’ incomes and  encouraging sustainable agricultural practices.
  3. Nutridense Food Manufacturing Corp. implements a tree-planting initiative around its premises to enhance natural ventilation, improve air quality, and  promote biodiversity in areas away from food production zones. This greening  eNort not only provides shade and reduces ambient temperatures but also  creates habitats for local flora and fauna, contributing to ecological balance.  The initiative supports the company’s commitment to environmental  stewardship by mitigating carbon emissions, preventing soil erosion, and  beautifying the surroundings. Through regular maintenance and employee  participation, the program fosters environmental awareness and a sense of  shared responsibility for preserving natural resources.
  4. The company adopts the use of sustainable materials, such as refillable oNice  supplies and cleaning products, to minimize waste and reduce environmental  impact. By choosing refill systems over single-use items, Nutridense lessens  plastic consumption, lowers procurement costs, and promotes resource  eNiciency. This initiative is part of the company’s broader commitment to  sustainable workplace practices, encouraging employees to be mindful of their  consumption habits and actively contribute to waste reduction eNorts.   5. The use of paper in the oNice for oNicial purposes is sometimes unavoidable. To  address this, Nutridense Food Manufacturing Corp. maximizes each sheet by  using both the front and back of coupon bond paper. Once both sides have been  utilized, the papers are repurposed as linings or sold to junk shops for recycling.  For non-oNicial documents, the company adopts online storage solutions and a  paperless system, promoting the use of electronic documents and communication through digital platforms. These measures help reduce paper  consumption, minimize waste, and support the company’s environmental  sustainability eNorts.
  6. Nutridense Food Manufacturing Corp. conducts regular inspections and  preventive maintenance of all air-conditioning units to ensure they operate  eNiciently and remain in good condition. When units are found to be defective,  outdated, or energy-ineNicient, they are replaced with modern, energy-saving  models. This practice not only helps reduce the facility’s overall energy  consumption but also lowers operating costs and minimizes the company’s  environmental footprint. By prioritizing energy-eNicient equipment, the  company reinforces its commitment to sustainable operations and  environmental responsibility while ensuring a comfortable and productive  workplace for employees.

Nutridense Food Manufacturing Corp. implements strict energy-saving policies to minimize electricity consumption and promote environmental responsibility.  These include switching oN lights and air-conditioning units when not in use, as  well as unplugging electrical devices from outlets to prevent unnecessary  energy drain. In addition, the company has replaced incandescent and  fluorescent bulbs with energy-eNicient LED lighting throughout its facilities.  These initiatives not only lower operational costs but also reduce the company’s  carbon footprint. Employees are regularly reminded and trained to practice  energy conservation, fostering a workplace culture that values sustainability  and resource eNiciency.

Furthermore, improved machine performance ensures consistent product  quality, benefiting both consumers and the communities served.
  9. The company encourages the use of personal tumblers or individual water  bottles to significantly reduce the consumption of disposable paper and plastic  cups. This simple yet impactful practice minimizes waste generation, lowers  procurement costs for single-use items, and helps prevent plastic pollution.  Employees are provided with or encouraged to bring their own reusable  containers, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility within the  workplace. Over time, this initiative not only supports the company’s waste  reduction goals but also raises awareness among staN about the importance of  making sustainable choices in daily activities.

Nutridense Food Manufacturing Corp. complies with environmental regulations and laws  under Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) No. ECC-OL-R01-2024-0160, awarded  on June 27, 2024. Furthermore, the company regularly monitors the implementation of its  environmental policies and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources’ (DENR)  Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Program to ensure compliance and minimize  environmental impact.
